Once you gain QTS you are a qualified teacher. It is not linked to your training and you cdan apply for primary posts, but, you have to convince a headteacher and panel that you can do the job. That will not be easy given that your training and experience is secondary. People do make the swap successfully but it can take time. Some will take supply work in primary or in their secondary job seek opportunities to work with feeder primaries to gain experience.
An alternative would be to look at restaryting training on a primary course.
Gaining a place on a primary course is not easy, many are oversubscribed and also, depending on where ypou live, they may not be any/many teaching posts available.
