Hello I have an interview on Monday to teach a year 5 group and I dont understand the question! I dont know if it is a mental block, but please please help me!! The question is “an investigation involving number demonstrating differentiation for a mixed ability class” for a year 5 group. Any ideas?

I think the missing bit is 'how would you teach...' or, 'have you any ideas about how you would approach teaching...' In interviews the interbiew panel would like to see how you would instinctively approach the teaching of a difficult concept or idea - they should outline the type of class they would be thinking of. If you are unsure of anything asked, don't be afraid to ask for some more information or even fot he panel to reword a question. They will understand that you are nervous and asking for more information or a re-wqording will give you more thinking time and what they give you may unlock some ideas. The Sage
