It is possible to complete induction in an independent school, provided the school has an agreement to do so with the local authority within which it resides, or has engaged the serives of the Independent Schools Council Teacher Induction Panel (ISCtip). You must then be provided with the same support and timetable reductions as a teacher working in the state sector. This should be agreed before you begin your post as induction cannot be backdated
