Hi
I've been asked by the LEA of the school I've just got a job with to provide a letter from DCSF conferring Qualified Teacher Status, this has got to be provided to the headmaster of the school to be signed and forwarded to them.
I've tried looking on the DCSF website, but get redirected to the new education.gov.uk site and can't find anything there. I'm not sure if I should get one as a matter of course or if I should be ringing around (maybe the GTC?).
If anyone has any ideas of how to obtain one of these letters I'd be grateful if you could let me know!
Thanks for your time, have a sunny smiley for your help....

Hi
The letter comes from the GTC not the DfE I think the Local Authority is a bit out of date with government departments and who does what!
The letter should come to you anytime from now on. If there is no letter - i.e. it is lost in the post then don't panic, the Head or the LA can ring the GTC directly and confirm that you have had QTS conferred.
