Hi It is not 'compulsory' as in a legal requirement but I suspect that the LA is trying to make sure that any assessment forms that come back to them from schools have been seen and agreed with the NQT. You do not have to write much and could simply say that you agree with the report - that would be a comment and should be enough. If the LA wishes more then they should tell you what their exp[ectations are e.g. do they want a comment on the fact that you are getting your NQT time and PPA time, that the mentoring is good or at least acceptable/satisfactory etc. James
