This is incorrect. The only time limit that currently applies is a 16 month limit on working as a supply teacher on daily supply without having completed induction. There is no limit currently to starting or finishing induction. There is a review underway of induction standards and it is expected that this 16 month rule will be abolished in favour of the current rule in Wales which liumits supply work to 5 years afer gaining QTS rather than 16 months on supply.
