I am a PGCE English trainee currently on placement. I haven't had much advice on job applications and am wondering if I should be applying now with a view to starting September 2011. How do I make myself sound 'capable' on a cover letter at this early stage of my training. Clearly I have no 'paid' experience in this field and don't want my application to be thrown to the bottom of the pile. Any tips would be appreciated.
